CF BoBo Browning named FCB Athlete of the Week for Mar. 9

WETUMPKA, Ala. - Senior CF BoBo Browning has been selected as the First Community Bank Athlete of the Week, coming off three games that saw Browning go 4/5 at the plate. On Tuesday against Benjamin Russell, Browning hit a 3-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning, helping the Indians run rule the Wildcats 10-0 in the sixth. Browning drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the sixth, and journeyed around the bases to score his second run of the game. On Thursday, the Indians faced off against the Marbury Bulldogs in a double header, where Browning continued to excel at the plate. He went 2-for-2 with a double, and scored another two runs in the Indians 12-1 victory in game one of the double header. In game 2, Browning collected one hit in his only at bat. He drew two walks and added an RBI and a stolen base in the Indians 17-6 victory over the Bulldogs. Browning and the Indians will face off against Prattville Christian Academy on March 9 at Bazemore Field.
