DE Cayden Carlisle Named FCB Athlete of the Week for Aug. 24

Carlisle tallied 9 total tackles with 2 sacks and 2 tackles for loss in the Indians 19-0 shutout victory over the Andalusia Bulldogs.

WETUMPKA, Ala. -- Sophomore Defensive End Cayden Carlisle has been selected as the First Community Bank Athlete of the Week for August 24. Making his first varsity start, Carlisle was impressive on the defensive line. He racked up 9 total tackles coming from 8 solo tackles and 1 assist. He added another 2 sacks and 2 tackles for loss. Carlisle and the rest of the defensive front for the Indians played a large role in the defense pitching its first shutout since 2016 in the 19-0 win over the Andalusia Bulldogs. Carlisle and the rest of the Indians will be back on the road this coming Friday, August 28 as they take on long time rivals and Elmore County foe, the Tallassee Tigers.
