G Chris Robinson Named FCB Athlete of the Week for Jan. 26

Wetumpka, ALA. - Senior G Chris Robinson has been selected as the First Community Bank Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. Robinson has been a key part of the Indians success this season on the hardwood, helping them lead to an undefeated season in Area play (4-0) and an overall record of 17-7. Last Tuesday, the Indians traveled to Marbury High School, where Robinson put together a complete game against the bulldogs. Robinson earned a double double in points and rebounds. He finished second on the team in points with 18, and added 11 rebounds to earn the aforementioned double-double. Robinson finished with 8 assists as well, just two shy of a triple-double. Robinson added 6 steals to the box score. The Indians rolled the Bulldogs 74-56. On Thursday night against Percy Julian, the senior put on a clinic in the last area match up of the regular season. He finished the night with a career-high 30 points, and grabbed 8 rebounds. He assisted his teammates 11 times, earning another double-double and again finishing just shy of a triple double. He stole the ball three times, and finished the night with an exclamation point throwing down a reverse dunk in the closing minutes of the Indians 69-49 victory over the Pheonix. Robinson will be honored along with six of his teammates this coming Tuesday during senior night against Chilton County.
